There is Peace in the Power of Prayer

These past two weeks have been a mixtre of stress, turmoil, pain, anger, and depression.  Most of those fit Rick, bt the stress cased by the drama has really played a toll on my well being.

Today, as I wait for JC to call me after Rick's hearing for the protective order, my hands were shaking....JC reminded me to take a deep breath and pray that God's will be done.  I tried but my nerves were shot, so I relied on the one prayer I remember from back in my private school/Grace Lutheran days....

Our Father who art in Heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name, Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as in Heaven, Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trepasses as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever, and ever. Amen.

It helped...and I am so glad I had that memorized in my heart.  It came in handy when I truly needed it.  Lord I pray that your will be done today in that court room.  No matter the outcome, no matter what happens going forward, please let me have peace in your love, show love to others, and continue to aim to be more like Christ every day.
